Mother's Day Medical Aid Shipment for Ukraine
Recently a doctor at the regional hospital in Cherkasy, Ukraine reached out to a member of the local Ukrainian community and told how they were losing 20 patients a day with war-related wounds because they did not have sufficient antibiotics. This is just another example of how shortages of simple medications that we take for granted can prove to be life threatening.
Today we sent $6,143.30 of prescription medications weighing 154.25 lbs (70.1 kg) headed off to that hospital in Cherkasy. The shipment is mostly oral and parenteral antibiotics, but the hospital also provided a list of needed anti-hypertensive medications, so we are sending those as well. The shipment will be delivered by our friends at Brother’s Brother Foundation in their next shipment.
