InterVol Supplies Arrive in Kharkiv

InterVol supplies arrive in Kharkiv.

We have great news today! Our April 3 shipment arrived in Kharkiv this week. You may recall this was a shipment of 103 lbs (46.8 kg) of wound care supplies generously donated by Dr. Ralph Pennino and the InterVol medical aid organization.

InterVol supplies arrive in Kharkiv.

This shipment contained bandages, gauze of all types, Coban wraps, drain sponges, abdominal pads, and many other items to care for serious injuries.

We cannot emphasize how important these types of supplies are for Kharkiv right now. The city is only 40 km from the Russian border, and although the occupiers have been simply unable to capture it, they have still continuously attacked residential areas and civilian infrastructure with rockets, missiles, and shells. Many innocent people have been killed and wounded in Kharkiv. Even Gorky Park, one of the main public areas in the city and certainly not a military target, has been bombed. Fortunately no one was hurt in that attack, but the Russians appear to have liberated Kharkiv from a number of children’s playgrounds. Just one more example of the senselessness and depravity of Russian behavior.

We are gratified to make possible the delivery of these donated supplies to our friends in Kharkiv, and throughout Ukraine, and we will continue to do so.

Our next shipment of prescription medications is being prepared now to be shipped this weekend, and we will update you soon on the contents.

We are still accepting donations!

We are collecting monetary donations to support the purchase of medical supplies and non-controlled substance medications now for Ukrainian hospitals. Go to our fundraising page to contribute.

We are a non-profit organized under the Rochester Regional Health Foundations.
